One boy. One girl. Two different cities, two different opinions. She likes him, he likes her, they like a bunch of stuff. Bikes. Food. Design. Music. And they post it here. Email her. Email him. Follow us. |

Home and product design blog Design*Sponge just released their online Philadelphia Guide. The guide follows an itinerary of sorts, broken down by neighborhood, and guides you through a short tour of each area’s go-to boutiques, eateries and architectural points of interest - over 50 locally-owned businesses are represented along with dozens of restaurants and cafes. UPDATE: Follow along in more detail, with all locations marked on this Google Map.

The anonymous board of directors at TrustoCorp Intl. went all out in their latest public hijacking with these new rebranded products that recently found their way onto store shelves. If you’re in the greater New York area, keep an open eye out next time you’re shopping.
TrustoCorp is a New York based artist (or artists) dedicated to highlighting the hypocrisy and hilarity of human behavior through sarcasm and satire.

I previously had posted about Steve Power’s mural project that had begun in Philadelphia. Since then, the project has been completed and even documented in a book. Above is a video of Power’s discussing his motivation for “Love Letter.” It includes some beautiful still photos taken by Adam Wallcavage of the community interacting with and responding to the art.
If you watched the Grammy’s last night, it might have left you feeling a bit like it did for us. Seemingly most of America is listening to the same three artists: Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Beyonce.
Last night’s pop culture awakening might contribute to why I found this site My City vs. Your City so interesting. The website enables visitors to compare listening patterns of respective cities, based on data from Last.fm. The website was developed by German creative coder Michael Schieben.
Truth be told, it seems Lady Gaga is popular everywhere.

Pretty cool. Translated, the above display reads “Training for the 10k doesn’t only help you. For each kilometer run, you will be helping UNICEF. Sign up at nikecorre.com”
I always liked the Post Secret community mail art project. The uncensored homemade postcards and brutal honesty that came with the anonymity seemed raw, beautiful and genuine.
The video above is beautifully shot, and though their are faces to the secrets, the spirit of Post Secret seems to remain intact.
